Mongolian Culture Institute was established in 1997, it was a research institute set up inside the university at that time. In 2007,Inner Mongolia University established the School of Ethnology and Sociology based on Mongolian Culture Institute, and some teachers of Mongolian Culture Institute have become the teaching and research mainstay of the school.The original Mongolian Culture Institute affiliated to School of Mongolian Studies has been reserved, with its main research direction as Mongolian religious culture and folk culture research.There are now eight researchers including 1 professor, 4 associate professors and 3 lecturers.
